Simplicity by Design

The SureCount Surgical® SmartTray™ System is designed to help customers address the universal issue of instrument overload and the financial and safety issues that this problem causes. The SmartTray™ is made for general instrumentation including scissors, forceps, and clamps which are the most commonly used as well as most frequently retained items. The SmartTray™ is designed to have every instrument you feel may be necessary for a procedure, the unique use of space accommodates enough tools to easily build a consensus with your users. We feel this is the best combination of matching realistic clinical needs with Lean Process Improvement initiatives.

SmartTray™ Components:

• Standard SmartTray™ Lids — Include an instructional icon for the end users and are interchangeable with all other SmartTray™ products.
• Standard SmartTray™ Modules — Include visual prompts on the bottom of the trays with a silhouette of the instrument and the correct count indicator. The standard module is 20” x 10” and is designed to be compatible with the smaller sterilization containers as well as CSR wrap. We also have the ability to duplicate the SmartTray™ in the 20” x 13” size compatible with the large sterilization containers depending on the required number of instruments. The SmartTray™ modules are also interchangeable within their designated uses.
• Customizable SmartBar™ Brackets — The SmartBar™ brackets are designed to be both flexible and interchangeable as well as offer visual and mechanical aids for ensuring correct manual instrument counts. A SmartBar™ bracket for a 6” forceps will easily accommodate an instrument from 5.5”-6.5” in length giving you greater latitude for your instrument selections.

Meeting Your Surgical Needs:

• Standard SmartTray™ Designs — SureCount Surgical® will offer a standard configuration based on pre-selected instruments for our SmartTrays™, particularly for trials to make them as frictionless as possible. These selections are based on input from Surgeons, nurses, and technicians and should be very close to addressing your needs.
• Modified SmartTray™ Designs — SureCount Surgical® has the ability to modify the SmartTray™ to optimize your instrument selection to your specific needs. It’s a simple matter of exchanging the SmartBar™ brackets for the designated instruments and modeling the most effective layout for the instruments in the SmartTray™ modules
• Customized SmartTray™ Designs — SureCount Surgical® will work with customers to address their needs across multiple surgical disciplines in addition to our General Surgery and C-Section SmartTrays™. SureCount Surgical® is currently starting development in several more surgical categories including cardiovascular, thoracic, hard and neck, trauma, etc.
